Full course description
This Sprint that has been designed to help your team better understand best practices around data inventories and data quality and fulfill DM1 AND DM3 criteria of the WWC Certification Assessment. You can click on the WWC Assessment Page to learn more about the specific criteria.
This online, instructor-facilitated 4-week training event, will engage groups of 2-3 individuals from each city to collaborate together with their peers from cities around the country. Participants will be expected to individually review the provided reading materials and resources and complete relevant assignments as a group to help build a plan for institutionalizing a data governance effort in their cities.
In addition to the weekly 90-minute live learning sessions, we will also offer a weekly 45-minute check-in session for guest speakers to share their experiences and for you to discuss assignments, challenges, and success with this work. The more you participate, the more you will get out of this Sprint.
At the close of the Sprint, each city team will present a final assignment, typically in the form of a 5-10 minute presentation and discussion on Zoom. These projects will summarize and demonstrate the achievements in the Sprint learning objectives.
